Pinterest - Easter Bunny S'mores

It's pinterest day!

Today's craft is Easter Bunny S'mores.

Last week for Easter I decided to make a special gift for Bart's preschool teachers and both boys daycare provider.

Best part about this craft was Bart was able to help me construct them.

His small hands came in very handy when it came time to place the bunnies in the jar.

 These were super easy to make.

Ingredients (per jar):

1. 1 sleeve graham crackers
2. 7-8 marshmallow bunny peeps
3. 1-1/4 cup M&M's (I used Easter colored ones)
4. 1/3 cup brown sugar
5. 1 quart jar (suggested wide mouth but I used regular)

Directions (per jar):

1. Reduce graham crackers to crumbs - I used a rolling pin and zip-lock bag - be careful not to poke holes in your bag or you will have a mess. 
2. Place 3/4 of the crumbs in the quart jar.
3. Place bunny peeps standing up, facing out, around the inside of the jar (this is where little hands come in handy or use a wide mouth jar).
4. Put remaining crumbs in the center of the jar to help support the bunnies - we used a funnel, which worked great as long as your crumbs were small enough for the hole.
5. Carefully pour in the M&M's.
6. Spoon the brown sugar into the center of the M&M's, gently pushing it down with the spoon.

Attach a gift tag giving the following instructions:

Empty the jar contents into a bowl.  Snip the bunnies into bits with kitchen sheers or cut up with a knife.  Return the bunny bits to the mixture.  Mix well.  Melt 1/2 cup butter; add 1 teaspoon vanilla.  Pour this over the dry ingredients, mixing well.  Pat into a greased 8 x 8 baking dish.  Bake at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes.  Cool and cut into bars.

*Option - leave the bunnies whole; combine remaining ingredients and place the bunnies on top; then bake as directed.

I cut them in half and centered them on construction paper. (double sided - 1 side bunny picture & other side the instructions)

Definitely something I will do again.
